Deborah is an international award-winning architectural design professional, registered interior designer, keynote presenter, published author, and member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. A Placemaker with over 20+ years of physician level medical training and experience in translational L+H research, she is a retired member of IES and CIE technical committees and a highly regarded academic lecturer, invited medical conference presenter, international keynote presenter, and commentary author whose white papers, technical, and interpretive circadian and sleep articles have appeared in numerous international publications, respected industry journals, and public newsstands worldwide.

A past national spokesperson for Osram Sylvania Lighting and an accredited industry CEU provider, Deborah is an early pioneer in biologically connecting ambient light with human health and sleep outcomes. Her unique medically relevant expertise and architectural consulting services continue in demand as circadian and neuroendocrine science unfolds regarding negative health impacts from anthropogenic LAN on ecosystem viability and the biology of all living beings including humans. She currently serves on the board of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Foundation and speaks to senior groups about both the process and act of sleep, both dependent upon architectural and interior design considerations.
